This Is Our Story

Previously Henson Farm, Fox Mountain Meadows became a dream come true in September of 2022 following a  random drive initiated by my daughter to search for lost animals, one of her favorite things to do. I had seen the fields over the years while riding my horse and we both wondered what it would be like to gallop through them! But this fateful day in the car brought us face to face with loose donkeys at the barn (really??) and a chance meeting with the farms caretaker who informed us it was going to be for sale following the unfortunate passing of Mack Henson, a lifelong Polk County citizen. Our life changed in that moment and things fell into place quickly as the Henson family supported our dream for their father's land. 
The property came well equipped as an event venue where we could host retreats that would change lives and offer healing and growth. For family vacation camps, I wanted to create a family destination, a place where kids could roam safely learning from nature and making lifetime memories. I wanted to incorporate all the landscape the property offered, including shaded oak trees, rolling fields, and a unique one of a kind rock quarry. All of these elements came together perfectly to allow a variety of opportunities for new friends and we can't wait to share it with you during your visit!
